課程概述	古典社會學理論 2018 年秋季授課教師：賴曉黎時間地點：每週二 234，社 110 聯絡方式：社會系館 314 室　　　　　02 - 33661235 　　　　　sllai@ntu.edu.tw 　　　　　http://sllai.sociology.ntu.edu.tw/ 約談時間：個別約定課程簡介　　自社會學從哲學中獨立出來時，理論在這個學科領域裡就有其特殊意義。作為一種觀看而非實作的參與方式，社會學理論採取了懷疑與批判的角度，除了開展我們心靈與精神的視野，並且重建我們對實在與世界的認識。而當我們使用社會學理論這個詞時，似乎是那麼習以為常、不以為意，對其內容甚至也都視為理所當然、不證自明。然而，我們用社會學理論指的是什麼，我們對這個詞的理解是什麼，似乎又讓每個社會學初學者傷透腦筋，而研究者則每每都須不斷重新反思、再三領會。　　傳統上，社會學理論分為古典與當代兩個部分，除了兩者探討主題、研究方法乃至思考取向都有不同之外，作為社會學的一個重要組成部分，很難在短時間內讓大家既廣博又精通。即便如此，面對浩瀚的古典社會學理論，一個學期也難免捉襟見肘；若不想淪為無所不包的通論課程或是潛心名家的專論課程，那麼如何取得平衡實在是一個難題。經過取捨，本學期的範圍就集中在古典社會學理論的四位重要思想家，即：Marx, Durkheim, Weber & Simmel，並以他們的代表性著作(Capital, The elementary forms of religious life, The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism & The Philosopy of Money)為主軸進行研究。　　獨立思考與獨立研究是研究所學生必須具備的基本能力，作為社會學研究所的必選課程，期待古典社會學理論的訓練能讓同學一窺古典社會學的堂奧，能為同學奠定良好基礎，並在學術的道路上能走得更為平穩、更為長久。且讓前輩的重要思考成為我們繼續前進的養分與動力，並期待於未來的社會學中提出我們的貢獻。
課程目標	1.對古典社會學家及理論有更深刻的認識 2.習得賞析經典的能力 3.能連結理論家彼時彼地的關懷與現下本地社會的議題，為打造更好的研究計畫做準備
課程要求	選課同學請到教師網站上註冊，本學期所有文件傳遞、消息通知與作業繳交等，請全部 po 到「2018_秋_古典社會學理論討論版」版上，並請自行備份。相關網路問題，請洽任課教師。　　1. 每週作業：依據讀本內容，每週有相關問題請同學回答，題目會 po 在版上，回答也請回到版上。內容請直接徵引讀本，如參考其他著作請註明出處。每週作業請於上課前48小時po版，切勿遲交。無故遲交兩次者視同一次未交，兩次未繳交作業者視同無故報告缺席。　　2. 課堂報告：每週作業由一位同學負責報告個人回答，並評論其他同學的回答。負責報告的同學除不可抗力之原因外，不得缺席；無故報告缺席者，學期成績以不及格計。課堂報告亦請於上課前24小時po版，切勿遲交。　　3. 期末報告：題目自訂，但以課程範圍為限，字數不得少於五千字。內容除本文外必須包含三個部分，即：術語彙編、文獻回顧與參考書目。(a) 術語彙編即期末報告中主要討論概念及其定義；(b) 文獻回顧即期末報告主要對話對像之反省與批判；(c) 參考書目即儘可能羅列所有相關文獻，並需區分為：必讀書目與延伸閱讀。最後繳交期限：2019.01.14. 上午9:00 。　　評分方式：每週作業佔40%，課堂參與佔30%，期末報告佔30%。
